What we collect
When you request a free download or join the founding list, we collect your email address. That's the heart of it. We do not ask for, and do not want, more personal information than we need. If you email us directly, we'll have whatever you choose to include in your message.
How we use it
We use your email to deliver the downloads you asked for, to let you know when new free material or membership updates are available, and to answer questions you send us. That's all. We do not sell, rent, or share your email address or any personal information with anyone for their marketing.
Who helps us process it
Like most small businesses, we use trusted services to run things: a form service (Formspree) to receive signups, email service providers to send messages, website hosting, and, when the membership opens, a streaming platform (Uscreen) to manage member accounts and billing. These providers process information on our behalf under their own privacy and security commitments. Payment details for the membership are handled by the payment processor, never stored by us.
Cookies and analytics
This site currently does not run advertising trackers. Our pages load fonts from Google Fonts, which involves your browser requesting files from Google's servers. If we add basic visitor analytics in the future, we will update this policy to say so.
Your choices
Every email we send includes a way to unsubscribe, and one click does it. You can also ask us at any time to tell you what information we have about you, correct it, or delete it. Email thehowtocafe@gmail.com and we'll take care of it.
Children
How To Cafe is intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13. If you believe a child has given us their information, contact us and we'll delete it.
Changes
If this policy changes, the new version will be posted here with a new effective date. Meaningful changes will be mentioned in our emails.
