What is How To Cafe?
A friendly learning platform that helps everyday people get comfortable with AI, apps, and modern technology, in plain English. Free practical downloads, calm video lessons, and a streaming membership you can watch on any device. No jargon. No hype. No feeling behind.
Who is it for?
Anyone who wants patient, clear help with technology, at any age. Many of our people are adults who didn't grow up with this technology, but plenty of younger folks feel lost with it too. If technology moved faster than anyone explained it to you, you're our people.
Do I need to know anything about technology or AI to start?
No. Everything starts from the beginning, in plain English, with nothing assumed. If you can use a smartphone, you can follow along.
What does it cost?
The downloads are free with your email. The membership is $10 a month at the founding rate, locked in for as long as you stay a member. The founding rate is here for a limited time while we open the doors.
What does "founding member" mean?
Founding members join while the cafe is opening and the library is young. In exchange, they get the lowest rate this membership will ever offer, locked for life while their membership stays active, and a real say in what gets made next. Their questions become lessons.
What do members actually get?
Every lesson, guide, and download in the library as it grows, starting the day you join. The kitchen is cooking across these areas: AI for normal people, everyday tech basics, online safety, selling and side money, streaming and home tech, and small business help.
When does the membership fully open?
Soon, in stages. People on the founding list get first access the moment the streaming library goes live, at the founding rate.
What devices can I watch on?
Phone, tablet, computer, and TV. The lessons live on our streaming platform at howtocafe.tv, built to be watched comfortably anywhere, including from the couch.
Can I cancel any time?
Yes. No contract, no cancellation fee, no hard feelings. If you cancel and come back later, you rejoin at whatever the price is then.
How do the free downloads work?
Sign up once with your email on the downloads page and Today's Special arrives right away, along with the full current menu of free guides. New items rotate in regularly, and subscribers hear about each one first.

James Gregson, a director, producer, editor, and hands-on creative with decades of experience across film, television, music, design, and technology. He also runs Gregson Studios AI, where businesses hire him for hands-on AI help.
